While most people are thinking of hitting the sales in the first week of January, I will be visiting suppliers and trade fairs buying Christmas decorations and winter accessories for the following season. My job also includes choosing our range of Christmas cards for the catalogue, shops and our online selling platforms.
As all orders need to be in with suppliers by the end of April, it’s a mad couple of months to get everything ordered to meet the deadlines. We receive the stocks in our warehouse around the end of July/early August. Next job is putting the Christmas catalogue together with the photos and descriptions of the goods. This then goes to print and is sent out to supporters with the winter edition of Friends magazine in October. Our Christmas mail order starts immediately and we send out thousands of packs of Christmas cards, pens, badges, diaries etc
Would I have it any other way?
Absolutely not!
